Phil Collin's song debuts with the Cocabanana Band - June 8, 2009

They cant believe they missed doing it this long but when Roberto turned up the steroe DVD on his rockin' home theater masterpiece , Banandero sat shocked that this amazing tune had never been heard by any band member.

You Can Wear My Hat is a Latin rythmnic marvel.

"Its got to be that the phrasing is so difficult that no band has cover it, The song is downright sexy and it moves like a Accela train through the choruses and verses."says The Banandero. " Its the most sensual high speed tune weve heard."

Danbo and I will split the Verses. It will be a real challenge to play and sing it at the same time but that' sometimes what separates us from other bands.

"Last Paradise" Strikes Chord With Our Listeners! - September 7, 2007

We are pleased to have received soooo much positive emotion from our audiences as we performed "Last Paradise" in our shows since early June.

We best get to the studio and record it as so many fans have asked for it! People from all over, especially the Islands of the Caribbean, have praised us for the recognition their islands receive in the song, along with acknowledgement for the concern over managed development and the preservation of natural habitats.

We hope folks like Kenny Chesney and Jimmy Buffett will join us in this marathon of enlightenment to save the beauty of the Islands!

Keep checking our Calendar Dates link so you can see us live and find out what all the hoopla is about!!

The Pen is Mightier Than the Sword - May 20, 2007

The Band is working hard on its arrangement of El Banandero's latest song "Last Paradise". This sword cuts with a razor sharp blade in both directions and there's just no let up in it's angst.
Down in the Caribbean they are taking some of the most beautiful spots on earth and building 20 million dollar townhouses on sand dunes and beaches with no respect for the fragility of the environment . Greed is the word.
I know development is inevitable, and so is this song.
The chorus lyric stymied me until Krisitna, totally tuned in to the feel and message, wrote the words I couldnt find.
